The Association of Universalist Women will meet at the church on Saturday, May 17th at 3pm. Peggy Jones will provide snacks and a devotional. Afterwards a short business meeting will be held followed by an activity (most likely will be working on the quilt to be auctioned at this year's Harvest Sale). All women of the church are welcome.
June 13-15 we'll be having a family weekend retreat at Shelter Neck in Burgaw, NC. Anyone interested in attending should contact Ann Malpass at
ann@outlawsbridgechurch.org or Shelle Baker at webmaster@outlawsbridgechurch.org. Everyone is welcome to attend. There is a small camper fee ($5 per person per night) and we'll split the grocery bill, everything else is free. We will be holding the NC State AUW (Association of Universalist Women) Meeting on Saturday afternoon and anyone interested may sit in on this meeting. The rest of the weekend will used in any way you choose. We will have canoes for canoeing down a nearby river. Experienced canoers will be present and happy to have you join them if you are inexperienced. Provided there is no burn ban, we typically have a bonfire on Saturday night with your favorite bonfire activities. Lodging is provided, however, you may bring your tents if you'd rather camp out. ESL (English as a Second Language) is taught by Barbara Grady on Tuesday and Thursday nights at 7 - 9 pm. Anyone who would like to come out to help the small children learn some English before starting school is needed and appreciated!
Centennial Window Project: 2005 marked the 100th anniversary of the founding of Outlaw's Bridge Universalist Church. The Centennial Project is the restoration of the stained glass windows; this project if coming along very nicely thanks to Robert Stolar who has finished all of the Sanctuary windows. Sadly, the front windows can not be completed at this time, as funding for this project is low. If you would like to make a special donation to this fund in honor or memory of a loved one, please send it to Outlaw's Bridge Universalist Church c/o Linda Jones 4408 NC 111 North, Seven Springs, NC 28578 so it can be recorded in the Memorial Book.
