Becoming a member has it's priveledges.
Voting
OBUC is a democratic institution. As members, we vote to elect leadership, approve the annual budget and adopt special projects. Voting typically takes place during annual congregational meetings. Additional congregational meetings are called occasionally to vote on special projects or unusual circumstances. Members are in control of the institution that nurtures their spirituality.
Board
Only members can be on the board. This is an opportunity to lead others, effect change in the church, and live your faith. Unitarian Universalists believe that faith is what you do rather than what you say.
Becoming a member has it's responsibilities.
Giving of your time
In order for our community to function and thrive, we need volunteers to teach religious education, help with Sunday Services, manage our finances, organize social action, throw parties, and much more. Sharing your time and talents with the Fellowship gives you an opportunity to be an integral part of shaping our community.
Giving financially
